On a fine day in Chicago, with great and very loud crowds I got my medal after a 4.48 run. It wasn't the easiest of marathons but that matters little compared to the fantastic support you all have given me and JDRF! I cannot thank you enough and I am incredible proud to have raised in excess of £15,000 for JDRF during my 5 marathons. I know how much this money means to all the dedicated and amazing researchers and scientists that this money will have benefited the people that are trying to find a cure for type 1 diabetes!

One week to go, feel alright - last longish run with Jonathan and Archie along the Surrey North Downs... Getting ready!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On October 7 I will run the Chicago Marathon in support of JDRF who I know does a fantastic, urgent and important work to fund research to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes.
After running my first Marathon with my friend John in London 2007 I took the silly decision to run 5 marathons before turning 45 (Unfortunately I have been too slow in achieving this as well, having had my birthday earlier this month...).
The Chicago Marathon is the last one in this venture in support of JDRF and as my legs are getting older, shorter and more importantly slower I need your support now as I may not have that many more Marathons in me!
So with that in mind I am pushing the boat out and aim to raise £3,640 for JDRF, which would take the total for these runs to £15,000...
So please dig deep and donate now, every little helps!
