Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As may or may not know, I'm running the 2010 BUPA Manchester 10k on Sunday 16th May and I'll be raising money for the Alzheimers Society in the process.  Its a great charity pioneering research into dementia and working with sufferers across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Dementia is a term used to describe various different brain disorders that have in common a loss of brain function that is usually progressive and eventually severe.

Have at a look at these couple of links if you want to find out about the causes of dementia and how dementia is diagnosed.  As well as  the latest stats on dementia.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
