Story

Hi

My names Ben McBean, I'm a Royal Marines Commando. In 2008 I stood on a land mine and lost my left arm and right leg. A year after my injury I had the opportunity to run the 2009 Flora London marathon, in aid of Help for Heroes, I finished in 6hrs 20.

I am delighted to report that I completed the marathon in 6hrs 16 mins, 4 mins faster than last year, which is great news!   It was a GREAT day and we had so much wonderful support all around the course, it was very humbling.  PLEASE do continue to donate if you can, every penny goes to the wounded.  We and Help For Heroes need your help....... Thank you!
