Story

On september 8th 2012, I will be climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland, it is the highest mountain in the UK.

This is be a personal challenge for me as 1) I am currently not fit at all and 2) I am terrified of heights and falling!

You may ask yourself, "why is she doing it then?" Well on 25th February 2012 we lost a family member to dementia and this really effected me. Since I have done research and found that dementia effects 1 in 3 of over 65's and is a leading cause of death in the over 65's. This really shocked me, and so I want to raise awareness of and raise money for this charity.

So I am under taking a training regime and well I will just have to deal with my fears once I am on the mountain!!!

If I raise the £500 I want to then this could allow one family to have access to a support worker to come to their home for vital help or could help 20 people have access to a support worker who can help them access support services and specific advice they really need.

So people please dig deep and donate to a cause close to my heart.

Thank you everyone, lots of love from me xx
