Story
As I consider myself an athlete I thought a marathon wouldn't be that hard. However after the summer break, where bulking and lying around was at its peak, I began training a lot bigger and less fit than usual. Trained by my 2 dog coaches I started getting fitter and faster. But along the way I have picked up and am unable to lose several injuries so it looks like the marathon is going to be tougher than anticipated.
However, fundraising for such a worthy charity has given me additional motivation to give the marathon everything I have. The Steve Prescott Foundation supports two main organisations: Try Assist which supports RL players whose lives are affected by serious injuries (much worse than the ones I have). And The Christie who are leading experts in cancer care, research and education, based in Manchester. Both are amazing charities that will benefit from any donations made.
