Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On May 1st, I will be challenging myself to ride all 119km of the Tour de Yorkshire. I am terrified by this idea - not least because of the distance and the short amount of time I have to train, but also the climbing and the total elevation is very punishing.

So, in order to both motivate me and to put the event to some good use, I have been inspired by a dear family friend - Rachael to raise both awareness and funds for the Anthony Nolan Trust, and I hope that you might also be motivated to support us with sponsorship... It's certainly easier than those category four climbs!

This is Rachaels story;

In August 2014 Rachael Hyde was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She continues the fight against this illness with a strength and determination that has inspired he friends and family to put down the pints in order to do some serious fund and awareness
raising!

Rachael needs a stem cell transplant to make a full recovery and Anthony Nolan are the guys who find the stem cell donors that make this happen.

You can read all about her inspirational story at https://rachaelahyde.wordpress.com.
