Virgin London Marathon 2011 · 17 April 2011 ·

Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 17th April, I'm doing something I always said I would do before I was 40 – running the London Marathon. Technically, I'm 40 on the 15th but what's two days between friends...

But, back when I was a kid watching it on TV, I didn't think I'd also be running it for my wonderful Dad. He died from Pancreatic Cancer in 2000 and we saw just how painful and cruel a cancer it is. The survival rate is only 3%.

He'll be cheering me on from up above (although he would have absolutely loved to be yelling from the sidelines). Any support you can give me for this desperately needed research would be so appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Very many thanks
