Story
For 18 months my mother battled a very aggressive brain tumour which unfortunately spread throughout many areas if her body. She had various treatments which failed. She lost her fight in March 2016 aged 64. I want to help fund Cancer Research in the hope that in my lifetime they can find a total cure to stop this despicable disease from taking any more lives.
So.........what am I doing you may ask. Well myself and 4 other merry men are walking from the East Coast from Wallsend near to Newcastle across the country to the West coast near to Bowness-on-Solway. This will be along the very historic route of Hadrians Wall......a grand total of 84 miles. We are scheduled to do this in 5 days starting on Friday 28th April and finishing on Tuesday 2nd May 2017. (We have a 6th day in reserve just in case).
Each person has selected charities that they will raise money for as an individual and Cancer Research is one of my chosen two. Both charities are in relation to my much missed Mum....Christine Freeman.
Please give whatever you can afford. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
