Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be doing the Great North Run (my first run ever!) this year for Team Olly.
At age 11, Olly was diagnosed with a brain tumour – Olly is a fun loving and outgoing young man. I know Olly and his family through friends and from various ski trips. Apart from skiing, Olly, like many kids his age, is full of life, loves playing rugby and loves his football too.
I remember receiving news of Olly’s diagnosis on my way to work and it’s one of those moments that a person never forgets – I can’t imagine how hard it’s been for Olly and his family over the past year.
The good news is that Olly has now had his tumour removed and has had his last chemotherapy session. He now wants to give something back to the NHS trust that has taken such good care of him. He wants to raise funds to improve facilities for younger patients in the RVI Cancer ward.
