ReNu is an Up-cycling, furniture enterprise, providing an inspiring activity, employable skills and employment opportunities for homeless men and women. All aspects of furniture renovation and sought after distressing techniques will be taught. Transformed pieces will be sold and monies gained will be re-invested to create a long-term, sustainable future for the project. We also aim to take on furniture commissions in the future.

We are currently renting a room for a nominal fee, the space is small and we only have enough room for 8 candidates. We don’t have enough storage space for old or new pieces and we also need to buy materials and tools.  We have had free tutoring for the first ten weeks but now we need to pay tutoring fees to continue the project. In time we would train excelling learners to become employed tutors, we would move into a larger building which would include a workshop, storage area, delivery bay, shop and café, so that we can offer employment and training in a wide and diverse range of roles.
