Story
On 6th July 2013 the Calvert family will embark on an epic drive for charity, driving 8,000 miles from the UK to Ulaan Baatar, the capital of Mongolia. We are supporting the charity "Go Help" who have projects supplying emergency vehicles, and in education. Mongolia is much in need of help, being one of the poorest nations on the planet. The winter of 2009/10 was so severe that 9.1 million animals died leaving 40% of the population with no means to support themselves.

Once we are on the move we will be updating our progress on the charity rally web site, so come back and see how we get on. You can also become a team supporter and we'll email you every time we update.
There will be a launch event from Horse Guards Parade from 10.00am to 12.00noon on Saturday 6th July, so if you are in London please come along.
We have bought a Mazda B2500 twin cab pickup which we will drive to Mongolia where we will donate it to "Go Help" and fly home. All expenses for the trip will be met by ourselves.
We are doing this in a family relay. The old man, "Banger" Calvert, and Kath are driving all the way, with the others joining for different sections. Tim and Victoria will join us from Kiev to Astana in Kazakhstan, and Mark and Rachael, "Smash", from Astana to Ulaan Baatar We have also committed to raise money for "Go Help" before we go.
This is where we hope you can help. Please dig deep and donate now.
Your donation will go direct to "Go Help", plus any Gift Aid if you are a UK tax payer.
