Mark Harvey and Rick Hanks have purchased a stylish (?) Hyundai Coupe 2.0 SE for less than £500 and will be attempting to drive it to Milan within 36 hours, dressed in Womble suits.  We’re departing Cabot Square, London on the morning of Friday 26 October, and will arrive in Milan in the evening of Saturday 27 October.  Hopefully the same year.

 

Not only that, as if trying to keep the car functional for a trip of 1000-odd miles wasn’t enough, the organisers have promised a set of fiendishly difficult challenges along the way.  We’re hoping these challenges aren’t up to Top Gear levels, and also that the car stays in one piece, since neither Mark nor Rick can tell one end of a spanner from the other, still less render a smouldering heap road-worthy ... 

 

The aim of the event is to raise funds for Centrepoint, which is an extremely worthy charity for homeless young people.
