We make lifesaving connections to help more patients survive and thrive
Story
Every day Anthony Nolan matches incredible individuals willing to donate their blood stem cells or bone marrow to people with blood cancer and blood disorders who desperately need a lifesaving transplant.
Emmy Award-winning BBC journalist Sue Lloyd-Roberts has aggressive leukaemia and urgently needs a stem cell donor to save her life. A donor recruitment event will be held at BBC's New Broadcasting House on Monday 22nd June, where BBC staff will join the Anthony Nolan register using a simple saliva test.
Anthony Nolan recruit people aged 16-30 as they are far more likely to go on to donate their stem cells and save a life, and they have better outcomes for patients. It costs £100 to recruit and tissue type each new person who joins the register, so if you're over 30 you can still help! Thank you so much for any donations.
