Story
Ashley, Chris & Gary are driving a 47 year old car 2000 miles in 48 hours.
This may sound like a crazy idea but it's for charity. Ashley Mills, Chris Widdicombe and Gary Lacy will be taking part in the Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR) in October 2016, using Ashley's 1969 Triumph Mk1 2.5Pi. This charity fund raising event which has been held bi-annually since 1966, that starts and ends in London, on a trip around the British Mainland on route via John O'Groats and Lands End. In order to qualify for a successful completion the entrants need to visit 18 controls / checkpoints within the designated time limits for each control / checkpoint and complete the whole trip within 48 hours, a distance of over 2000 miles. Sponsorship for this event is donated to a different charity each year and we are very pleased that this year's event will support Guide Dogs. All entrants fund the expenses for the journey including the entry fee out of their own pockets ensuring that all sponsorship funds are donated to the charity.
This year nearly 150 Classic Triumph cars will take part in this event and will be raising money for the charity "Guide Dogs". This is the 50th Anniversary of this event, that has over the years raised over £500000 for various charities. For this years 50th Anniversary the target is to raise more than £50,000 so if you are willing to spnsor Ashley, Chris or Gary it would be really appreciated.
This is Ashley's 9th, Gary's 3rd and Chris's 2nd time that they have done this event.
