We exist to give a lifetime of support to the wider Army family, regardless of where or when a soldier served. We act swiftly and efficiently in providing support in the form of grants to those who find themselves in real need. We also provide grants to charities who support the wider Army family.

From the Army Foundation College (Harrogate) 2 teams will attempt 2 Channel Swimming crossings.  Major Steve Wall PWRR, WO2(QMSI) 'Tom' Sawyer RAPTC and Sgt Amy Baker AGC(SPS) will attempt the World's most premiere Extreme and Endurance Challenge by individually swimming the English Channel a minimum of 35, 200m (19nm or 21 land miles) on the tidal window between 18-24 Sep 11.  A few weeks before that the following team will complete a team relay crossing; Capt Matt Higgins RA, Capt Emily Peers AGC(ETS), Sgt Kerry Evans REME, Cpl Steve Hunt PARA and LBdr Sue Klopper RA.  Both teams hope to raise money for the ABF The Soldiers Charity and the Special Care Baby Unit at Harrogate District Hospital .
