My family has been greatly affected by cancer and this is a cause close to my heart. I am already raising funds for cancer research UK but also want to raise money for Macmillan, when you are diagnosed with cancer it affects so many areas of your own and your loved ones lives that good support is vital. Macmillan don't just provide specialist nurses but have lots of other helpful advice and support available too. Plus they provide funding for other allied organisations such as Penny Brohn Cancer Care . My mom and I never had this support in the 1970's, it was hard watching her suffer and i was only 17 when she died of ovarian cancer. 

It's wonderful that this type of support is available to families now but funds are vital. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
