Story
Heya, people. Anton here.
Some of you may know (and many of you won't) that a few years ago, I ran into some health problems. Serious ones. After a decade of working 100 hour weeks in I.T., I started having seizures that ended my career. Not epilepsy, I wasn't blacking out - just being trapped inside myself while I couldn't control my movements or speak.
Doctors couldn't tell me why I was having them, they just bounced me left and right. They can't even give me a diagnosis.
I had to take control of the situation. I found ways to control the illness, and the main method of control was to get fitter.
I haven't had a seizure in years. I now volunteer at the British Heart Foundation, as part of my long term goal to get fit enough to work permanently. I've lost 60lb in weight (probably more by the time you read this) and I'm a lot fitter. But I'm still not fit enough.
Enter Tough Mudder, 25th October 2014. Now I have a goal, and I'd like your support, and your donations to the British Heart Foundation. Nothing to do with my illness, but then I know not what my illness is. I just know how to control the symptoms, and they're helping me to get my life back by supporting my drive to get back into work.
Oh, and here's some standard disclaimer stuff about justgiving.com:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks for reading this peoples!
