What started as a group of some 40 friends raising funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity by riding from London to Paris turned in a tragedy last week: our friend and team captain Mark had been doing amazing work organising the event and raising funds, unfortunately, he had an accident while bike training, suffered catastrophic injuries and is still in critical state. The team will continue as Mark surely would expect us to carry on his work, we've renamed it from "Eiffel Over" to "Mark's Riders".

How we will help children?

Every donation helps Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity for the vital redevelopment of the hospital's oldest buildings, purchase state of the art equipment, fund pioneering research into childhood illness and provide support to the hospital's young patients. 

Every penny we raise will help to give hope to very ill children and their families. In this funding campaign we are specifically raising money for new defibrillator, a vital piece of emergency equipment used to revive children in cardiac arrest. Over the last few years, new and better defibrillators have been developed, which have the potential to improve outcomes – particularly in surgery and intensive care. To provide the best possible care to our young patients and ultimately save more lives, we urgently need to acquire these improved defibrillators.
