My Story:

To those that know me or those that don’t.

I am doing a Sponsored Abseil, and yes you did read it right an ABSEIL.

I will be raising pennies or pounds for two charities:

  • Revival, http://www.revival-wiltshirerasac.org.uk/ - Revival who help men or women who have been abused, whether past or present and begin to make life changing choices for their lives.
  • This charity is helping me understand ME.

But the main reason for this sponsored Abseil is for ME.

I have never, and I mean never, done anything like this before, a sponsored anything or an abseil.  A friend, Rosie, has given me the courage, scary as it is, to do this.

The more people that said I couldn’t do it, the more determined I was to do it.

Me and Rosie will be taking a very slow walk up many, many stairs and as some people who are aware how my phobia of stairs has impacted on my life.  That is not just the physical (lots of pain) but the emotional difficulty of going up (and I will get there) the fear of either going up of down is soooooo scary.

But as Rosie has said we will end up on the ground no matter what, it’s just trying to work out what to do with the walking sticks once we get to the top.

So please, a very big please, give what you can no matter how small or how big.  Just your support would be good for me.

It willalso benefit my confidence and self esteem to have as many mad (you don’t have to be mad, but it helps with big smiles and laughter) supporters there to encourage me and hug me when I am grounded.

Thank you to all, whether you give or not, your encouragement to me is more important to ME.

I am not doing this to prove anything, I am not doing this for others, I am doing this for ME.

Thank you to all, in advance, for your support whether financial, emotional or just can’t believe what I am going to do.

These are two worthwhile causes and I would never believed that I would be doing an Abseil, let alone being sponsored for one.

I will keep you updated with my progress, and yes I have my outfit for this fun, challenging day.
