Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Nick was born in 1985, a healthy 9lb bouncing baby. At the age of 7 he was diagnosed with Leukaemia and received years of treatment with chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
A bone marrow match was found for Nick on the Anthony Nolan register and in 2001 Nick received the transplant and was able to live an action packed healthy life.
Tragically Nick developed a brain tumour and he died in Kings College Hospital on 16th February 2014. As Nick was still clear from Leukaemia his organs could be used for transplant and his heart, lungs, liver, pancreas and kidneys were all donated to help 5 different people.
Thanks to the Anthony Nolan Fund, Nick has enjoyed 12 extra years of good health and we would like to raise as much money and awareness of the donation system as possible so that others can benefit from bone marrow transplants.
