Welbodi Partnership is working to improve child and maternal health in Sierra Leone, where 1 in 10 children dies before their 5th birthday and maternal death rates are some of the highest in the world. Since 2008 Welbodi has been working in Sierra Leone to address these challenges.

Story

As many of you know, Jimmy and I are taking on the daunting challenge in November of this year, to drive independently from London to Cape Town.

We will first be covering a gradually freezing Europe as we rush to meet a Ferry in southern Turkey in Mid November. We'll then brave the crushing dessertified heat of Egypt and Sudan, before taking our chances on the high and winding roads of Ethiopia, Kenya and Rwanda. After piling south through Tanzania, Zambia and Namibia, we hope to make it to Cape Town in around 3 months. It'll be 17,000+ mile route at a fairly rapid pace!.

A great incentive for us in organising such an audacious trip is the potential to raise money and awareness of a great charity I worked with in Sierra Leone back in 2009. The Welbodi Partnership are highly focussed local charity providing training and equipment to help develop effective children's hospitals.

We'd love it if you could dig deep to help us support this wonderful charity.
