Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The money I raise will go straight to Jean's Research Trust. The Trust aims to make a contribution to current and future research into Gestational Trophoblastic Disease and molar pregnancies by supporting the excellent work of the Sheffield Trophoblastic Disease Centre and raising awareness of trophoblastic disease.

The Centre was established in 1973, as part of a national programme, to screen for gestational trophoblastic tumours (a spectrum of disorders including hydatidiform mole and choriocarcinoma) for the North of England and North Wales. The centre is run in collaboration with the University of Sheffield and the Cancer Clinical Trials Centre at Weston Park Hospital. If you have any questions please email: Trophoblastic@sth.nhs.uk

Running 10km will be a huge challenge for me - before I started training in September 2015 I had never even run for a bus! But hopefully the incentive of your financial support and encouragement will get me across the finishing line.....
