I'm running the Manchester 10k with lots of my colleagues from Manchester Museum, as part of the University of Manchester #purplewave.   

It's been a real challenge learning to run - but I've had loads of support from friends and family.  Swimming is much easier.

I'm fundraising for Manchester charity The Mustard Tree who work to combat poverty and challenge homelessness.  I can't believe that we live in one of the worlds richest economies, but people in Manchester are living on the streets.  It's just not fair and there is a better world out there.
