Story

In January 2014 I will be running 11.1 miles which will be a huge challenge for myself but miniscule compared to the challenge my friend Charlie will undertake. She will be running 250 miles in 7 days, visiting 40 football clubs across England to help raise funds to unite in the fight against domestic violence.

I have huge respect for the challenge Charlie is about to embark on but felt moved and compelled to support. I also believe in the work this charity does including wanting to raise awareness to an issue usually dismissed or swept under the carpet. Women and children should not live in fear and feel worthless because of someone else's cowardly actions.

I will join her on part of day 6 from Fulham-Craven Cottage to Chelsea- Stamford Bridge to AFC Wimbledon- The Red Cherry Records Stadium. She is aiming to raise £100,000 and has already raised £14,000. I would like to raise at least £1000 to support and protect women and children affected by domestic abuse.

So dig deep my friends, family and collegues. Every penny counts in reaching the target and supporting a worthy cause.
