Story
Karen attempted to Climb Mount Snowdon, Wales’ highest mountain, in 2011 despite severe ill-health. After a herculean effort the weather got the better of her and she was forced to turn back. She planned to return but her health has deteriorated further and she’s just not physically able to do it.
Enter Kazza’s Crazy Climbers! We’re a group of 50 women of varied levels of fitness, what we have in common is we’ve beaten or are beating breast cancer and we’re going to use the same strength, determination and sheer pigheadedness to beat the mountain. I personally use a walking stick and have difficulties with my joints and muscles due to my cancer treatment, treatment that several other women on this climb are also undergoing.
We’re climbing on 1 June 2013 but need your support. Please donate as much as you can afford for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that has been a lifeline for Karen, for me, my family and many, many others. It could also be a lifeline for you, your mother, your partner or your daughter in the future so please donate to guarantee its survival.
You can donate in pounds, dollars, euros and even krone, donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Please push us up the mountain with your donations.
Thank you
Angi
UPDATE - It's with great sadness that I have to tell you that Karen lost her fight on 16th January 2013
