Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 21st February as mentioned above, myself and friends will be undertaking our last Sh'Bam-athon to raise money for what i believe is one of the UK's most important charities. Dementia UK is a charity that's been set up to support families and friends that have loved ones suffering from this sickening (and deadly) disease. They provide information and advice to help people understand Dementia and the different types that people can Develop. They also provide Admiral Nurses that are there to give specialist one - to - one support to families helping them cope with uncertainty and fear over the reality of Dementia.

This illness is not only close to my heart as my nan who i am very close to is suffering from it but my friends who i am doing this event with also have/ had loved ones that suffered from this, be it their own Nan or they're parents. This is not a very nice illness to have to watch a loved one go through it and it is very hard to witness them change into someone that you have known them not to be. Its our job as friends, family members or even members of the public to show our support to this charity to say thank you from us for what they're doing and to help further educate people about this illness.

What i am asking from you today is whether you would be happy to lend your support to aid us in this event by saying that thank you and help us raise a tremendous amount of money for Dementia UK. Our aim is to raise £4k. Whether its £1, £2.50, £5 or even £10, can help this charity by funding an admiral nurse to a family to support them in these tough times. We encourage you also to come along and take part in this event even if its only 30mins or an hour or the full 3 if you're feeling up to it.
