Story
I am doing this because I care about the environment and the state of the planet we are leaving for our future generations.
By getting a group of like minded individuals to accomplish this feat we hope to raise funds for our Environmental Education Portal that we are working on with The University of Hull - please see the short video clip below that details what we are trying to acheive.
Tree planting and education on environmental conservation is necessary to mitigate effects of climate change. Planned for July 2014, Climb for Change is an organized charity climb to the Uhuru summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in order to showcase the effects of climate change on our natural wonders. Since 1912 Kilimanjaro has lost 82% of its icecap and 55% of its remaining glacier field since 1962. Scientists predict all the ice on the mountain will disappear by 2020.
