Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Most of you will be aware but if you do not know, it will be six years in August 2015 since we lost our beautiful son Taylan to an inoperable and incurable brain tumour.
In January 2010 my wife and I founded Taylans Project www.taylansproject.com , to commemorate Taylan's short and happy life but to also raise vital funding for research into brain tumours.
I never thought I would be in this position, it is not the reason why you have children and no parent should have to outlive their child. Losing a child is devastating and I personally want to try and make a difference.
Less than 1% of cancer research funding goes into brain tumour research and more children and people under the age of 40 die of a brain tumour than from any other form of cancer.
So myself, along with 10 others have agreed to cycle 100 miles in a day from London to Brighton on Sunday 28th June 2015. I have hardly done any training or managed to get back on my bike much since 2012 which is when we took on the 700 miles in 7 days challenge. Now you may think this will be easy, but as well as time, age has moved on too! I am pretty nervous about completing the ride but I am determined to get to the finish line. Why? Because I want to do it for Taylan and all those who have lost their lives to a brain tumour or are fighting at the moment and I can really do with your help.
Please donate what you can.
Thank you.
Andy
