I will be riding 25km as part of the Spoke 'n' Language team (from the Department of Language and Linguistic Science). I'm a regular bike rider, but only between the two universities and my home in South Bank for work and study. I've recently done a ride of just over 30km in preparation, but this will likely be only my second long ride.

As both a student and higher education professional, I value the importance of education and access to it. I feel very privileged to be able to undertake postgraduate study alongside full-time work, but I know it can be a struggle to even afford undergraduate study for many, and feel it is important to make such opportunities to learn accessible for all.
