We support Birmingham Children's Hospital to improve the lives of sick children

Story

I am an everyday working guy with a family and was diagnosed with Cancer back in 2008, but cleared of the disease in 2013.  I then made a promise to my family to do everything possible to help raise money to cure this dreadful disease.

I then had the privilege of meeting Stiliyan Petrov at a charity event at Highclare School Woodfield back in December who was diagnosed with Leukaemia in March 2012 and is now in remission.  The former Aston Villa Captain recently announced the launch of a charity foundation to help fellow sufferers and their families.

After meeting Stiliyan Petrov I decided to organise an event to raise money for his charity which is also being supported by Highclare School.

Riding to cure Leukaemia,  my cycling team will take on a 4 day challenge on 12th June 2014 cycling from Birmingham to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. We will cover over 400 miles in just 4 long days in the saddle, including some very strenuous hill climbs!

The sight of our finishing point , the Eiffel Tower will evoke a huge sense of achievement.

The team of cyclists are Andrew Price, Jeff Hargreaves, Aiden Dalton, Ryan Walker, Luke Shinton, Rob O'Shea & Steve Curley.  The support crew are William & Sandy Maiden.

I have pledged to myself that the team will raise £5,000 for this worthwhile cause and we can achieve this goal if individuals like yourself partner with me.

GIVE SO OTHERS CAN LIVE.

Thank You for your Support.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
