Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Representing Takeda UK's Oncology division I have committed to raising money for Myeloma UK. You'll see my fundraising target to the right. Your donation can really help me smash this goal!

This charity was only set up 17 years ago and is doing fantastic work to aid research and support patients with this form of cancer. There are approximately 4,700 people diagnosed with myeloma every year in the UK. It is the second most common form of bone marrow cancer and currently incurable. Myeloma UK aims to help by accelerating the discovery and development and access to new treatments, while helping patients and their families cope with everything a diagnosis of myeloma brings.

This ride is going to be hard bum breaking work for the Takeda team! 6 months of training through the winter, followed by cycling 120km a day over 4 days from Greenwich to Paris. It still won't come close to how difficult it is to receive a diagnosis of Myeloma, either as an individual or as a family member of that individual.
