Fundraising for Devon Air Ambulance Trust

At Bishop Fleming, we have set ourselves the goal of raising £100,000 for charity in this, our Centenary year. I am joining a group of workmates to complete the Three Peaks Challenge on the weekend of 21st and 22nd June. Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowdon (the highest peaks in each of Scotland, England and Wales) all climbed in 24 hours - 23 miles of walking, 10,000 ft of vertical ascent and 460 miles of driving. It's going to be tough! The training and the pain have already started.
Living on Dartmoor the Devon Air Ambulance Trust has saved and helped a number of people I know and it feels quite right to support it for the challenge I am doing. Devon Air Ambulance is the charitable trust which raises the funds to keep two emergency air ambulances flying in and around the county of Devon. Flying seven days a week, one of the aircraft now flies until 2am.In 2018 it cost £7.5 million to keep the service operational, with every penny coming from the generosity of the communities, businesses and friends of Devon.Thank you for your support - it really does help to save lives!
