I am part of a 40 strong student and staff team from Ponteland High School aiming to complete the GNR and  raise £10,000 for the Great North Air Ambulance. We are completing the run in memory of a much loved former student, Rachel Blaylock, who should have completed the GNR in 2014 but was tragically killed in a car accident 2 months prior to the race. 

I'm not as fit as I used to be so this will be a bit of a challenge but it's for a fantastic cause so please give as generously as you can. I spend a lot of my spare time in rural areas of the North of England on the bike or out in the North Sea on my board and whilst I hope I never have to be in one of their helicopters it's good to know they're there 365 days a year and given my record . . .
