FOR THE TYPHOON VICTIMS IN THE PHILIPPINES
I've been hesitant to do any sort of run, but due to the impact of Typhoon Haiyan, I felt it was important I do something. I came across my friends; Karmelo, Sifa & Santiago who were planning to do a sponsored run, and even though we are miles away from the devastation, Philippines is HOME...so this Christmas, please help by sponsoring this great cause:
Thousands of Filipinos are now homeless, living on the destruction caused by the worst Typhoon ever to hit land. These are people of all ages who have lost not only their homes, but their families - Christmas will never be the same again.
Food is scarce, disease is spreading but each of us can give each of them a lifeline.
By donating to this cause via 'ShelterBox':
£25 could buy 2 Families the essentials to store and purify drinking water for 1 month
£50 could buy a family of 5 basic household items like mosquito nets, blankets, candles, and children's clothes.
£100 could buy 3 Hygenie Kits containing soap, shampoo, toilet paper, toothbrushes, nappies and underwear to keep families clean and healthy.
Any donation will be much appreciated - If it compels you to help, please do.
On DECEMBER 25th 2013 my friends and I will be running 10k along and around London's River Thames - whatever the weather! So let's hope for a white Christmas?
ALL ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE
- we would love for you to join us. RED and BLUE hats are essential - please keep warm!
MARAMING SALAMAT PO! (Thank you)
