Those of you who know me well know that the band that I play in are a registered charity and as such we partake in funraising events for a nominated charity each year. Last year was St Luke's Hospice for whom we raised over £1500, this year it's the Archer Project who provide day service opportunities and support for the homless and vulnerable in the city.

The BUPA Great North Run will be my first competitive running event and quite frankly I'm bricking it (being historically a bit of a porker, running was never really something I enjoyed!)

I only have a short fundraising window as this was a spur of the moment decision when I found out about the event last week, however please donate whatever you can to this worthwhile charity.
