Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in a one day event, dressage, show jumping and cross country in May and have been training for around six months on Jimmy. We are both new to British eventing and it is going to be a huge challenge for us both, nerves will definitely play a part! For those of you non horsey, you have to remember a dressage test of around four minutes, we are definitely not Charlotte du Jardin and Valegro - Jimmy is not really interested in looking obedient as he performs in the arena and is more interested in looking around at all the other exciting things! To date, I haven't actually remembered a test all the way through.....The show jumping is seven to ten brightly coloured fences and the cross country is seven minutes of galloping over around twenty fixed obstacles, involving ditches, brush fences and a water complex.

The wobbleberries are a group of over 40's who are really having to overcome their fears to complete the challenge, it's the never give up attitude that Hannah had in her fight against cancer. We all have different worries about doing the event but are committed to completing and have had some great help from riding instructors in preparation. There have been many ups and downs so far ( including a painful and embarrassing fall) and my confidence has certainly been tested.
