Dear Family and Friends,

This November 15, I will have the privilege to embark on an amazing adventure and join 8 ladies on a trek in Nepal for Women on a Mission, a non-profit organisation based in Singapore.  This 13 day trek will take us across the Himalayan pilgrimage Tsum Valley of Nepal, where we will have the rare and special experience to set foot in this "secret land", which the valley is referred to.

The expedition will be a challenging one, where there will be seven to eight hours of hiking per day, through different terrains and while climbing up to higher altitudes.  Although the experience will be very physical, it will also be a spiritual one, with it's long history in Buddhism, the team will experience the Tsum monastic community life in the valley.

Along with my teammates, I am hoping to raise awareness and funds for Women for Women International - http://www.womenforwomen.org.  Since 1993, Women for Women International has served nearly 420,000 women in 8 conflict-affected countries. 

This organisation helps women who are victims of war, violence, civil strife and poverty, by teaching them marketable skills, educating them on their rights,  and providing nutritious food and safe water.
