A big thankyou to the people who have given me money so far!!
Hi I’m Alex!
I am 12 years old and live in Clapham, London. I have cerebral palsy because I was born very early at 24 weeks. This makes walking very difficult as my legs cross when I walk because of the spasticity in my legs. I currently use my walker to get around or my bike if we are going further.
I am hoping to go to St Louis in Missouri, USA in October for an operation for SDR (selective dorsal rhizotomy). This should help stop my legs from crossing so much and make it easier to walk. The operation costs just over $53,000 so I am trying to help raise some of the money for this. The surgeons think that I will be able to get everywhere using just crutches after the operation and may be able to get around independently in some environments.
It would be great if you are able to support me. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
