Hi folks, some of you will already know of my plans to volunteer in Tanzania for three months with the charity organisation Raleigh International. The programme will place me with a local family in rural Tanzania where I shall work within a team made up of both Tanzanians and British volunteers, with the aim of providing sanitation and clean water. Building sanitation infrastructure and educating school children on the importance of hygiene. This will greatly benefit communities where diarrhea and other hygiene related illness is a big killer.

As part of the programme I have to fundraise £800, which I intend to do in a series of sponsored activities. The first one being a 126 mile bike ride from Redditch to Aberystwyth in Wales over two days. My good friend Marcus Maries has decided to join me in this feat, so many thanks to him, as its a long way to go on my one! We are very grateful for any sponsorship, maybe you could sponsor us 5/10p per mile or whatever you are able to spare.
