Story
In 2016 we ran, swam, rode, baked and partied for my wife Rachael to raise money for Anthony Nolan. Very sadly after a long and valiant struggle against non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Rachael passed away in November .
Despite the efforts of her family, friends, the wonderful medical staff at UCLH and the team at Anthony Nolan we weren't able to find a lasting cure. Whilst we couldn't save Rachael we want her legacy to live on with the intention of more people suriving blood cancer and recieving better care for a range of conditions.
In 2017 a team of 12 friends and family will be ramping it up a notch by "Rambling" for Rachael. We'll be taking on The Three Peaks Challenge on the weekend of the 19th August which is to climb the three highest mountains in the UK in 24 hours. These are Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Mount Snowdon.
I'm aware this is a bit more than a "ramble" but I couldn't think of a better word beginning with r...
Since the start of her fight Rachael, her friends, family and colleagues have raised close to £40,000 for Anthony Nolan which is an astonishing amount that could save over 650 lives.
I'm very grateful for your support as are the amazing team at Anthony Nolan.
