Every year thousands of people die because of the lack of first aid. Every single of those lives could have been saved. First aid is such an important skill to acquire. Just a few simple steps can save a human being. Sometimes those steps are the difference between life saved and life lost. St. John Ambulance makes that difference teaching and providing first aid where it's needed. Unfortunately, as each organisation, it needs money to grow. Donations are needed to deliver first aid lessons to more and more people and to purchase life saving equipment. Just £2 could pay for a pocket face mask used in mouth to mouth resuscitation and only £150 could pay for a volunteer to be trained in the use of AED.
