Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
To celebrate my 70th year, and to do my bit for a really great charity, I'm setting myself a new challenge for September 16, 2012.
To prove that being totally blind doesn't have to atrophy the legs but with the help of my stalwart guides, I'm going to walk around the 18 miles of Rutland Water, and am challenging myself to do it in 6 hours.
I've been to the Warning Zone a couple of times and find it a truly inspirational place. There should be a Warning Zone in every city!
This is why I walked around the county boundary of Rutland in 2008 to raise over £3,000.00 for the charity. Other fundraising walks I've done include Dorset to Leicester and all 54 Rutland villages.
I've been totally blind since I was 10 so I'm used to that; but the big question is, will the legs hold out on Sept 16!
If I can rely on YOUR support that will be the biggest spur to succeed, so many many thanks to you all.
