I am participating in this sponsored trek to Pen y Fan the highest peak in south Wales in order to raise money for our brothers and sisters in Ghana. In a country where we have access to clean water and sanitation 24/7, in a country where all wr have to do is turn our taps to get access to clean drinking water- In that country we as individuals should be grateful as we are fortunate to have this blessing. Unfortunately, not everybody is in the same boat. There are many countries where people do not have access to these facilities we take for granted. One such country is Ghana. 884 million people do not have access to clean water, one out of five children die as a result of water related disease. We can help change this. We can make a change. You and me. With the funds raised, we hope to build water wells in Ghana so they will have access to clean water like you and me- Only with your help though. So please take this moment to imagine a life without water, a life where in order to access water children have to trek a mile and more only to find that the water there also is not clean. If you are fasting- I need not remind what life without water is like. 

On this special month of Ramadan a hadith comes to mind- The prophet (Pbuh) said: " The believers shade on the day of resurrection  will be his charity." (At-tirmidhi).
