Penny Appeals emergency response campaign aims to help protect and save thousands of families, from the devastating effects of natural disasters and conflict.

Their teams are currently providing support in Indonesia, Syria, Yemen, Burma, Palestine, Bangladesh and East Africa. Penny Appeal your support to be able to deploy life-saving medical aid, food, clothing, sanitation and shelter to those who've been left incredibly vulnerable.

Their most immediate current support is on the ground, in Indonesia, conducting vital needs assessments, and working with authorities to provide life-saving aid to those most in need.

A deadly volcanic eruption has caused a powerful tsunami on Sunda Strait, devastating the entire island. 16,000 people have been displaced and over 150 people are still missing. 

Over 400 people have been killed and more than 1000 seriously injured and officials warn the death toll is likely to rise further.

The tsunami hit late at night when most people were asleep and came with no warnings or signs. The gigantic waves have devastated the entire island, destroying homes, communication lines and infrastructure.

Hospitals are struggling to deal with the influx of patients, and with hundreds injured, there is a massive strain on health services and a severe lack of medical supplies and equipment.
