Story
Pancreatic Cancer
Pancreatic Cancer makes up 5% of the 155,000+ cancer deaths in the UK every year and has the 5th highest UK cancer mortality rate. However, unlike most cancers, which have seen increases in survival rates over the past 40 years, Pancreatic Cancer remains unchanged on a 3% survival rate. Pancreatic cancer tends to only cause minor or vague symptoms until it is well advanced. There is no early detection method, and as the pancreas is not easily accessible, the cancer is hard to treat.
Why The PCRF?
The PCRF are the only UK charity to exclusively "promote and support research into the causes, mechanisms, diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer", which is why my family has chosen to support them, to help prevent the suffering my dad endured to those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the future.
Please, Please Give!
Please give as much or as little as you can. Every penny counts towards my goal of £500, which hopefully will go a little way to help to give some hope to those who are diagnosed with this horrific disease.
