I'm participating in the 13 May 10k Superhero run alongisde my Debtwire team to support Build Africa, a charity working in rural Uganda and Kenya, helping children and their families through education and work opportunities.

Those who regularly see me on the five-a-side field sprinting to secure the goalkeeper position so I don't have to play outfield realise that I find running 10 yards gruelling enough, let alone 10k.

And although football has always been a favourite forte, missing Chelsea's last game of the Champions League push to run 10k is a sacrifice that will be totally worth it.
