Trailwalker 2013 · 27 July 2013 to 28 July 2013 ·
I've become one of those irritating people who do things for charity and expect their friends, family and people they met in the supermarket to pay for it.
I am part of a 4 man team taking part in Trailwalker 2013 - the challenge is to complete the 100km Trailwalker route across the South Downs, in under 30 hours, whilst loosing as little blood, skin and bone as possible.
Trailwalker was originally started by the Queen's Gurkha Signals Regiment over 30 years ago as a training exercise to test soldiers' stamina and teamwork skills, especially learning how to cope with extreme chafing of the nether regions (that last bit may not be true).
We're doing this to raise money to help people in poverty make a better life for themselves through the work of Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust, not simply to treat the dog to a lot of long training walks!
Thank you in advance for your donation (and roll on the blisters!)
