1 week to go and I spent it climbing over the 02 - I'll call that hill training! thank you to everyone who sponsored me it means a great deal to me and to the charity. if anyone else can spare anything at all to help the fight against pancreatic cancer - and motivate me to the finish line it would be massively appreciated.
1 week to go and I spent it walking over the O2 - I'll call that hill training! thank you to everyone who has sponsored me it really means a lot to me, and the charity. but of course I could still use more sponsors to build on the motivation so anything you can afford would be appreciated.
2 weeks to go *gulp* please help me raise as much money as I can to help people with Pancreatic Cancer. Anything you can give can make a real difference.
only just over 2 months to go!
In July of 2011 my Mum was taken to hospital feeling unwell, She was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in August and underwent 16 hours of surgery, despite being a fighter my Mum lost her battle two days before Christmas. Just five months had passed between the first signs that something was wrong and suddenly she was taken from us.
Pancreatic cancer has just a 3% survival rate and is so aggresive that before you know you have it, it is too late. Over the next two years I am undertaking 5 events to raise money both for Pancreatic Trust and the British Heart Foundation.
My First Challenge is to walk 10,000 steps every day for 6 weeks http://www.justgiving.com/Adam-Brown13 for challenge 2 I will be running a Half Marathon in October, http://www.justgiving.com/Adam-Brown12 This is the third challenge running the Brighton Marathon and then 2 more events in 2013/14 I hope you can support me in raising money to help people effected by this most devistating illness.
I now have the fourth event: With the help of a team from my work I will be looking to complete the 100KM walk from London to Brighton in under 20 Hours.
