Abbie's Leeds RAG - Tour to France page

Leeds RAG - Tour to France · 14 June 2014
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In June 2014 I will be cycling 400 miles from Leeds to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, raising money for Save the children. This will be greatly challenging for me as I have not ridden a bike for many years.
Save the children helped 10 million children last year and believe that "no child is born to die".That's why they work in 120 countries worldwide to fight for their rights, save lives and help them fulfil their potential.
Their teams are currently providing aid to vulnerable children in the Philippines in light of the recent typhoon Haiyan disaster. Also, teams consistently provide support and aid in areas of on-going conflict, such as areas of Syria where 3.1million children currently need help.
However, for this incredible work to take place, it is essential that individuals (.. like you) donate as much as you can to save a child's life. For every pound you give (even less than you'd spend on a coffee!) Save the children spends 88p to directly benefit a child's life - the rest is spent on raising the next pound.
Your donations could provide:
£25 could provide safe birth kits for 3 women giving birth at home
£3 could pay for life-saving treatment for 8 children with diarrhoea
£50 could buy 2 hygiene kits for a child in Syria or the Philippines.
Thank you for visiting my page - I hope you visit http://www.savethechildren.org.uk/ to see the life-changing work they do and I hope this will help you decide whether to donate to this cause and support my campaign!
