We provide expert care and support to young people with cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Aldi have partnered up with the Teenage Cancer Trust with the vision of raising 5 million to ensure that no young person faces cancer alone. Around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. So far they have 28 specialist units, 48 nurses and youth support workers, provide free real hair wigs and much more The charity serves as an advocate for teenage cancer needs, promoting related research and national and international forums. It also provides support services and education related to teenage and young adult cancer. So far the charity is only able to reach just over half of teenagers and young adults facing cancer in the UK, meaning many miss out on specialist care which is tailored to teenagers and young adults. In order to make sure every young person has access to services provided by the trust they need to be raising 20 million every year by 2020. Aldi staff and customers are coming together to help make this happen, we will be arranging charitable events in store and in the community. you can get involved by going to our just giving page and giving a small donation, as little as £25 pounds pays for a young person to be visited by a specialist nurse, no donation is too small !lets get raising and make this happen!

thanks from everyone at Smithdown Road Aldi
